I got a new job, just moved here the other day and had to look around at some peoria il apartments. My job is sort of related to Caterpillar in a lot of ways. This is where they have a lot of their big plants and I am working for a company that deals in their products. My job is to inspect things that go into specialized products. We do not sell the ordinary heavy construction equipment, but instead we make specialized gear for certain industries. It is not to say we actually make any of it. Other people make all of the parts and we ship it to the client, which is usually a company up in the Tundra of Canada or the former regions of the Soviet Union. It is a lot more fun to be on this end of the job, that is something I can tell you with total and great certainty. I know it from experience.
Of course the other part of the job is to get some gargantuan piece of construction equipment out into the middle of nowhere, a frozen nowhere half of the time and the other part of the time it is a fiery burning nowhere. Either way you are usually miserable and there is not often a woman for a couple hundred miles or anything that might qualify as entertainment or a decent meal. I do like to be able to go out for a beer or nice meal and I definitely like having women to talk to once in a while. In particular I miss the stuff that reminds you of home, an NFL game on Sunday afternoons and baseball games on a Saturday in Summer. The stuff that you would do if you were home like grabbing a burger.
